softpower is the moniker of Chicago born musician and producer Gabby Henderson. Combining imaginative and soulful vocal harmonies, softpower captivates audiences with their unique sound and mesmerizing performances that utilize electronics such as live looping and drum machines. With a diverse range of influences from Kimbra to Erykah Badu, softpower seamlessly blends elements of experimental electronic pop and neo-soul to create a distinctive and evocative sound. Entering the scene with the debut EP ‘THE KNIFE IN MY SIDE’ in April 2024, the singer/producer introduced us to their palette of lush, ethereal melodies, intricate beats, and introspective lyrics that resonated with listeners on a deeply emotional level. Shortly after, softpower released a single and video ‘STARSLAMENT’ showcasing their versatility in the rap genre. They plan to release their next project later in 2025.
